By creating an account or using Subbi you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Subbi is a marketplace that helps Irish schools find substitute teachers. Subbi facilitates introductions and bookings; it does not employ teachers or operate schools.
Teachers using Subbi are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents or workers of Subbi. The hiring school is solely responsible for the engagement, payment, and any employment-law obligations relating to the substitute teacher booked through the platform.
Subbi displays compliance information (Garda vetting, Teaching Council registration, Child Safeguarding) as reported by teachers. Schools remain legally responsible for verifying Garda vetting status before employment under the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012–2016.
Substitute teacher pay is set by the Department of Education at fixed daily rates. Subbi does not set, collect or process the daily rate paid to teachers; payment runs through the school's payroll and OLCS in the usual way.
You agree not to misuse the platform, post false information, harass other users, or use Subbi for any unlawful purpose.
Subbi provides the platform "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Subbi is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service or from any engagement entered into between a school and a teacher.
