1. Who we are

Subbi ("we", "us") provides a platform connecting Irish schools with substitute teachers. The data controller is Subbi. You can reach us at support@subbi.ie.

2. Data we collect

• Account information: name, email, phone, role (school or teacher).
• School information: school name, roll number, address, county.
• Teacher information: subjects, levels, qualifications, Teaching Council number, Garda vetting expiry, Child Safeguarding expiry, availability.
• Verification documents you upload (identity, registration).
• Bookings, messages and ratings exchanged through the platform.

3. Where your data is stored

All personal data is stored on servers located in the European Union. Backups are also held in the EU.

4. Your GDPR rights

Under the EU GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to:

• access the data we hold about you,
• have inaccurate data corrected,
• request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten"),
• restrict or object to processing,
• data portability,
• lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

5. Lawful basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of contract (to provide the booking service), legal obligation (to support compliance verification), and legitimate interest (to improve the service and prevent fraud).

6. Sharing

Schools and teachers see each other's relevant booking and compliance information by design — that is the purpose of the service. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

7. Retention

We retain account and booking records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with tax, employment and statutory obligations.
